Serengeti

Overview

The Serengeti National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering nearly 15,000 square kilometers, it is celebrated for its endless savannahs, diverse ecosystems, and unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities.

The Serengeti is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, along with zebras and gazelles, move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. The park also boasts one of the largest concentrations of predators in Africa, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffalo, and over 500 bird species also thrive here.
